Create a group

Set up your own group.

You have an idea for a group. ARC helps you turn it into a community that works — with a reason to exist, the right people in it, and a way for them to find it.

What is an ARC Group?

People who share an objective, working on it together.

A Group brings together people who share a common objective and want to work together around it. It is not simply another chat group — a Group should have a reason to exist and a reason for members to take part.

A Group can be

  • connected to the Hub you are part of, or to a Hub you are creating
  • built around a shared business objective, interest or opportunity
  • connected to an ARC program
  • built around collaboration, learning, networking or solving a problem

Set it up

Your group, step by step.

1 · The group

What it is and why it exists

2 · Who it is for

Who you want in it

Choose what fits. ARC uses the same terms it matches members on, so it can find and invite the right people later.

3 · Hub and program

Where it connects

4 · Tools & resources

What the group can use

Attach tools and resources you already have in ARC. To add a new one, upload it on your Profile first (Upload your tools & resources), then come back.

5 · Promotion

Who should hear about it

With neither ticked, the group is private: people join only when you invite them.

6 · Image

Give your group a clear visual identity

ARC’s image creation is not switched on yet. For now your group uses ARC’s approved Groups image — you can upload your own at any time.

7 · Create

Create your group

You become the group’s creator and owner. It gets its own chat, and you can invite people from your Profile.
